About Us
Welcome to our home grown, locally owned family farm that has been serving Lyman, South Carolina and surrounding areas for more than 20 years. Farmed and managed by Robert I, Robert II and Toshiba Traynham-Jackson, we grow a diverse variety of fruits, vegetables, and fresh cut flowers—including peaches, potatoes, onions, tomatoes, okra, watermelon, squash and much more. We strive to grow high quality produce that our community will love.

Robert I
is the Chief of Operations - Cultivation Officer. He has been farming since he was a child. His grandparents began farming in 1919 when they share-cropped a small parcel of land in the local area. They raised enough fruits, vegetables and animals to provide nutrition for nine children. Robert fondly remembers working in the shadows of his grandfather. He carried on his farming pursuits by majoring in horticulture at Spartanburg Tech. He has raised hogs, beef cattle, peaches, plums and vegetable crops. Robert is known among family and friends as the plant doctor.
Robert II
is the Chief Executive Officer. He became his father's shadow by the time he was 4. He also pursued Agriculture in college. However, he did't major in Horticulture because he found his niche in Agricultural Business and Economics. Robert II went on to earn his Masters degree in Agricultural Education and Extension. His is passionate about urban agriculture and has converted several of these concepts to Jackson Farms II.

Toshiba
is the Chief Research, Quality, Procurement Officer. She did not grow up on a farm but has spent many summers on her grandparents' farms in southern Virginia. She loved fetching eggs and feeding the hogs. She applies her academic expertise in quality & food safety management to the farm operations. Her knowledge helps ensure that Jackson Farms II’s produce is safe, wholesome, and delicious.
The Kids
are our two little ones that mostly help with taste testing, farm chores and now customer service at farmers markets. They love exploring the farm to learn about how things grow from seed to fruit. You can find them snatching produce off trees and vines for snacks.
